Vincentine "Vinnie" Harries, 77, of Cape Coral, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish of Cape Coral. She was an active member of the Cape Coral Women's Bocce Association and served as past president. Her greatest joy was playing bocce and serving as a bocce coach for the Special Olympics. She enjoyed getting to know each and every player and was so proud of all of them.

She was also a member of the Elks and the Ladies of the Elks, B.P.O.E. Lodge #2596 of Cape Coral and a former member of the Red Hat Society.

She had a heart to serve others; she was a good friend and a loving mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harries, and leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Theresa Buchanan and her faithful pet, Murphy. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at St. Katherine Drexel Church, 1922 S.W. 20th Ave., Cape Coral. Entombment will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

A small reception will be held following the ceremony for family and friends.
