Francioni promoted to senior vice president

Joseph Francioni has been promoted to senior vice president for The Smart Companies in Fort Myers, announced company CEO Brian Rist. Francioni is responsible for helping to guide the continued success & growth of the corporation.
Francioni joined The Smart Companies last June as the company comptroller. Before joining The Smart Companies, Francioni owned and operated Innovative Printing and Signs in Cape Coral for five years before selling the company. Prior to that, he was chief financial officer and chief operations officer at C A Wunder Engineering Inc. in Cape Coral for 10 years.
He is a 21-year resident of Cape Coral, and is active in the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral and the Cape Coral Construction Industry Association.

Passenger count up
in April at RSW
During April, 865,554 passengers traveled through Southwest Florida International Airport, an increase of 6.1 percent compared to April 2013. Year-to-date, passenger traffic is up 4 percent from the same period last year.
The traffic leader in April was Delta with 171,831 passengers traveling to and from Fort Myers. Rounding out the top five airlines were Southwest (149,662), JetBlue (110,033), United (92,100) and US Airways (82,260).
Southwest Florida International Airport had 8,045 aircraft movements (takeoffs and landings), a decrease of 5.2 percent compared to April 2013. Page Field saw 9,302 movements, a 16.4 percent increase from April 2013. In addition, more than 2.9 million pounds of air freight moved through Southwest Florida International Airport in April 2014, an increase of 14 percent compared to April 2013.
Southwest Florida International Airport served more than 7.6 million passengers in 2013 and is one of the top 50 U.S. airports for passenger traffic. Action Automatic Door & Gate and LiftMaster door openers will host a day-long celebration in recognition of "Garage Safety Month," announced company founder and CEO George Ebel. Grand opening/open house
at The Salon Professional Academy June 10
The Salon Professional Academy is now open in Royal Palm Square and has scheduled a public open house for Tuesday, June 10, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Located at 1388 Colonial Blvd., in the front of Royal Palm Square, in Fort Myers, The Salon Professional Academy is the only cosmetology school in Southwest Florida endorsed by REDKEN for excellence in education.
The open house is free to the public. A ribbon-cutting with the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, community and local government leaders will take place at 4:30 p.m. In addition to complimentary refreshments and hourly giveaways, attendees will be able to meet TSPA's staff and students and learn more about the school's services, education curriculum and professional salon products available.
The academy is accredited and offers financial aid for those who qualify. All services are performed by students under the direction of a licensed cosmetology educator.
Full-time courses begin every four weeks. A high-school diploma or GED is required. The academy accepts Florida Prepaid College Plans and financial aid from those who qualify.
Salon services including hair, skin and nail treatments in the student salon are available Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and range from $6 to $35.
