March 14, 2014
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

Cape Christian Fellowship's Founding Pastor Dennis Gingerich and his wife Linda has been awarded a fully-funded 4-month sabbatical through the National Clergy Renewal grant from the Lilly Endowment Fund. The grant total was $49,866. The Gingeriches will begin their time of rest, retooling, recharging and reconnecting May 1.

Pastor Gingerich and his wife's renewal plan includes 5 weeks exploring their family and spiritual roots in Europe, a Greek Isle cruise and then returning to Florida to begin a 10 week road trip to the west coast and back.

An additional sampling of the sabbatical includes hang gliding in the Swiss Alps, a week's stay in the Austrian Alps, nearly 3 weeks in Germany, a week on the Oregon coast with their children and grandchildren, a 5-day photography workshop in Glacier National Park, a 4-day marriage retreat in Colorado and three separate 2-day prayer retreats scattered throughout the sabbatical in Switzerland, Germany and Oregon.
