L&M Treasures opens in South Cape
L&M Treasures, featuring antique, vintage pieces and unique items, has opened at 824 S.E. 47th St., Suite 2, six doors down from Annie's Restaurant, in downtown Cape Coral.
Other items available include Fenton, Fostoria, carnival, Depression and Viking glass pieces; costume jewelry; one-of-a-kid collectible pottery; artworks ranging from African art to old castles; teapots; music boxes; pitchers; collector plates; nautical items; and figurines.
According to owners Mike and Linda Davis, "there's always something new coming in" at the shop.

Berardi joins Torchlight Productions Design and Development
Matt Hurley, CEO of Torchlight Productions Design and Development, announced this week that Chris Berardi, former Cape Coral City Council member, has joined the staff as Community Outreach Director.
In addition to serving as council member, Berardi has served on the SWFL Regional Planning Committee, board of directors for the Cape Coral Association of Realtors, News-Press editorial board, Cape Coral Civic Association, Lee County Human Services and Affordable Housing committees.
Berardi will now be in charge of organizing and planning Torchlight's participation in events within the local community.

Fafco Solar completes solar panel installation at FMI?Hansa company
Fafco Solar has announced the recent completion of a solar panel installation for FMI Hansa Medical Products in Naples, Fla. The project consists of a 38.25kW Solar Photovoltaic System, with 153 solar modules from Canadian Solar rated at 250W each.
Fafco installed a similar solar energy system, with non-penetrating clamps attaching solar rails to the standing seam metal roof, at the Naples Botanical Garden just down the road from this site.

Nominations still being accepted for Business Ethics Award
There's still time for businesses to complete their application forms for the ninth annual Business Ethics Award of the Uncommon Friends Foundation. The deadline is Feb. 1. The award will be presented in recognition of the critical importance of ethical leadership in today's businesses and organizations during the Uncommon Evening event Thursday, March 26, at Harborside Event Center, Fort Myers. The award will be presented to a Southwest Florida business that exemplifies the highest standards of ethical behavior.
Business, political, community and religious leaders from the five-county Southwest Florida area may nominate companies and organizations that consistently demonstrate a system-wide commitment to business ethics. Companies and organizations may also self nominate; nominations will be followed by those who wish to complete the application process by the Feb. 1 deadline. The applications will be reviewed by an independent panel of ethics experts from across the country. This panel will also decide the winner.
