James ‘Jim’ W. Wylie

James "Jim" W. Wylie, 78, a Cape Coral resident since 1988, formerly of Orlando and Bedford, Mass., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, in Cape Coral under the care of Hospice. He was born Aug. 2, 1935, in Boston to Willard and Ruth Wylie, now deceased.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He worked and later retired as an electrical engineer for Honeywell. Once he retired he relocated to Florida to enjoy his real passion of sailing. He was a member of CMCS Sailing Club for many years. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Pauline Wylie; four children; two stepchildren; 23 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Barsamian.

A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date onboard a close friend's sail boat.
