William "Bill" J. Leicher, 81, a Cape Coral resident for the last six months, formerly of Seven Hills, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, Dec. 20, 2013. He was born March 11, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Joseph and Anna Leicher, now deceased.
He was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Parma, Ohio. For over 25 years he managed Bunce Brothers Clothing in Cleveland and served his community as an auxiliary police officer of Parma Heights. Many will remember him for his faith in God, love of family and country. We will dearly miss his outgoing nature and wonderful sense of humor.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Jeanette "Jan" Leicher of Cape Coral; four loving daughters, Denise Wise, Cher Wulff (Rick), Darlene Cusick (Willie) and Michelle Leicher (Dave Spence, fiance); three grandchildren, Dave Wulff, Jenni Wise and Dan Wulff; as well as three great-grandchildren, Alexis Wulff, Emily Wulff and Evelyn Wulff, and soon a blessed new arrival, Ava Marie Wise/Sherman; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Joe, John and Matt; sister, Pauline Sterba; son-in-law, Jim Wise; and granddaughter, Robin Wulff.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., today, Dec. 24, at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 1922 S.W. 20th Ave., Cape Coral, with Father John Deary officiating. Entombment will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
