James W. Greig, 83, passed away on Friday, Nov. 29.

Born in Boston, Jim served four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He excelled for more than 40 years in the tool and die industry before retiring to Cape Coral in 1994. He married Anne Daley in 1952 and together they raised four children in the suburbs of Boston.

He is survived by his children Beverly (Russell French), James (Elaine), Richard (Marie), Robert (Robin), brothers David and Billy, and four grandchildren. As a member of the Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion and the Loyal Order of Moose, he greatly enjoyed many social activities with his fraternal brothers and sisters. He served as a volunteer with the Cape Coral Hospital for more than 15 years. An avid golfer and lover of all things Florida, Jim will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at the VFW Hall located at 4709 SE 11th Place Cape Coral on Dec. 13 from 3-6 pm
