Hall joins irrigation department

Scotland Yard Pest Control/Irrigation and Pool Service has hired Overton (Boots) Hall for its irrigation department. Originally from St. Louis, Mo., Hall has been in Florida for eight years doing irrigation work. He has over 30 years of irrigation and landscaping experience.

Skyline Barber Shop opens
Skyline Barber Shop has opened at 3812 Skyline Blvd., Unit A, just north of the Neighborhood Walmart Market, in Cape Coral.
The shop offers traditional barber services including taper cuts, flat tops, fades, scissor cuts and neck shaves. Men, women and children are welcome. No appointments; walk-ins only. The shop also offers free Wi-Fi.
The owners and operators of the shop -- Jim, Lana and Wendy -- are formerly of Off the Top Barber Shop.
Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m.to 2 p.m.; closed Sunday and Monday.

Southwest Florida International Airport notes passenger count
During October, 478,376 passengers traveled through Southwest Florida International Airport, a decrease of 1.3 percent compared to October 2012. Year-to-date, passenger traffic is up 4.2 percent from the same period last year.
The traffic leader in October was Delta with 105,429 passengers traveling to and from Fort Myers. Rounding out the top five airlines were AirTran (84,643), US Airways (60,706), JetBlue (53,607) and United (42,731).
Southwest Florida International Airport had 5,365 aircraft movements (takeoffs and landings), an increase of 3 percent compared to October 2012. Page Field saw 6,635 movements, an 8.5 percent increase from October 2012. In addition, 2.6 million pounds of air freight moved through Southwest Florida International Airport in October 2013, a decrease of 3 percent compared to October 2012.
Southwest Florida International Airport served more than 7.3 million passengers in 2012 and is one of the top 50 U.S. airports for passenger traffic. Agnew sworn in as president
of Lee County Bar Association
