Lorraine (Nana) V. Boylen, 75, of Cape Coral passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at Cape Coral Hope Hospice House.
She was born in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Anthony and Virginia Pellegrino. She was a retired child care provider and home health aide, and had resided in Cape Coral for the past 25 years coming from Garrettsville, Ohio.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, enjoyed traveling with her husband, loved reading and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was caring for others, especially children and many adopted her as "Nana" throughout the years. Her kind, compassionate ways and love for life will carry on forever through the hearts of the many lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kenneth Boylen; children, Heather and Sharra Leonard of Cape Coral, Nicole Shaner of Newark, Ohio, Earl and William Boylen of Youngstown, Ohio, Molly Boylen of Madison, Ohio, and Penny Boylen, of Ashtabula, Ohio; sister, Rose Pellegrino of Texas; grandchildren, Alysia, Logan, Ronald (J.J.) and Matthew Leonard, Alison Garzon, Brittany Shimp, Brent Spurling, Annie, William, Chelsea, Sharra, Matthew and Earl Boylen; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Pellegrino; mother, Virginia Pellegrino; sister, Vicki Nalepa; and brother, Joseph Pellegrino.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of the Cape Coral Hope Hospice House.
She was an amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother and nana and will be forever in our hearts.
