Brandon Michael Geraghty, 27, a Lee County resident for the last five years, formerly of Westland, Mich., passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, in Cape Coral. He was born Dec. 13, 1985, in Urbana, Ill., to John E. and Christa M. Geraghty, who survive him and reside in Westland, Mich.

He was of the Catholic faith. He was known to most by his nickname "Bubba." He enjoyed all sports as well as writing poetry, art and making people laugh. He was a volunteer at the Southwest Florida Military Museum & Library.

Along with his beloved parents, he is survived by six sisters, Ann Musselman of Bonita Springs, Fla., Ashley, Alecia and Audrey Geraghty, all of Westland, Mich., and Brooke and Julia Taylor of Columbus, Ohio; one niece, Alivia Musselman of Bonita Springs, Fla.; maternal grandparents, Candice Donohue of Decatur, Ill., and Edward Walsh of Champaign, Ill.; as well as his paternal grandmother, Dolores Geraghty of Columbus, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Geraghty, in 2006.
