Approval of sign ordinance is bad for business

To the editor:

Well, the city once again proved they are not business friendly. This past Monday's meeting proves it by the vote for a new sign ordinance, thereby rolling over a lot of small businesses. If the city wants any new business to open here, we need to realistically write a better and proper and enforceable sign ordinance.

This current city council does not have the best interests of its citizens at heart. The new public services and fire assessment taxes, now this badly written sign ordinance, proves it.

Come November, if any registered voter really cares about your city you need to get out and vote. Remember that McGrail led the charge on giving us the PST and fire service tax. He is up for re-election, please do not re-elect him he will only ask for higher taxes. Vote for Williams.

Also re-elect Sullivan mayor and Chulakes-Leetz in District 4 and Headd in District 1.We need true people's representation on council, not the special interest groups and unions controlling city council like they do today. If you noticed, once this council got the PST it gave across- the-board pay raises to all union members. I'm talking about the slick six headed by McClain. Please, let's take back our city get out and vote. Remember, vote Sullivan Chulakes-Leetz, Headd and Willams. Real people's representation.
