David Ray Conley, 55, of Cape Coral passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, after a very long courageous battle with lung disease.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Ray and Edith Conley, but has been a 37-year resident of Cape Coral.
He was a graduate of Worthington High School where he was a member of the wrestling team.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; his children, Shane (Jillian) Conley, Kyle (Jessica) Conley, Jeremy (Ashley) Conley, Jordan Conley and two step-sons, Michael Katalenic and Antun Katalenic.
He has four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He has always been very proud of his children and grandchildren in all they do.
He is also survived by his two sisters, Christal (Jack) Brewer and Linda (Scott) Brown.
He also leaves behind his dogs, JJ and Cici.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kelley Conley, and his mother and father, Ray and Edith Conley.
David and his father Ray worked together for many years in the automobile business until David's love of fish lead him to open his own aquarium business. He enjoyed this until near his passing. He was also "world famous" for his pizzas and making them for family gatherings gave him joy.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him for his quick smile and gentle demeanor.
A memorial service to celebrate David's life is being held at 2 p.m., Sunday Sept. 22, at the First Assembly West Church, at 121 Del Prado Blvd., S., Cape Coral.
