Anne Shenigo Quinn Bukovac, 90, traveled home Monday, Sept.16, 2013, while in the loving arms of her family. Anne (aka, Anne Marie) was the loving mother of a son, John (Jack) Michael Quinn (Janice) of Friendship, Md., and two daughters, Anne-Marie (Wayne) Zawislak of Cape Coral and Patricia (William) O'Brien of Brookeland, Texas. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, as well as loving nieces and nephews who reside all over this country and Europe. It is fitting in a way that her family is so wide spread since she was always happiest when traveling and she enjoyed seizing the opportunity to visit and see new places.
She was born in Somerset, Pa., Nov. 12, 1922. Her life was diverse and interesting. She served her country in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II in the European Theater where she met John M. Quinn (deceased in 1967), her first husband and the father of her children. They married after the war and settled in New York and New Jersey to raise their family. Sadly, she was widowed far too early, and continued raising her children alone until blessed to have found another good person, marrying Joseph A. Bukovac (deceased 1996), to share her life and the joy of grandchildren.
Following Joe's passing, she continued her life's journey with the good fortune of many friends, enjoying many years of following her dreams and traveling extensively.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Michael Shenigo; her two brothers, Michael G. Shenigo and Henry J. Shenigo; and beloved sister-in-law, Janie Shenigo. It is our belief that she was greeted and nurtured by these family members as well as many more as she made her journey to the loving arms of her Maker.
