Awakening Bliss A Salon & Wellness Center to hold expansion celebration

Awakening Bliss A Salon & Wellness Center will hold a special expansion celebration Saturday, Sept. 7, from 5-7:30 p.m., at 2708 Santa Barbara Blvd., suite 145-146, Cape Coral.

The event is a celebration of the expansion of the spa from 1,200 square feet to 2,500 square feet. In announcing the event, Brandon Reich, president of Awakening Bliss A Salon Inc., said the celebration will also recognize the contributions made to the company by one of its founders, Rick Turnery, who passed away March 5. After Turnery's passing, rather than closing the business' doors, management and the staff decided to push forward with the expansion plans.

In addition to the physical expansion, the business has also expanded its services, becoming more of a wellness center, with hairstyling, massage, facial procedures, makeup application, hypnosis, nails and more.

During the celebration, staff will conduct demonstrations of the services offered. Product representatives will also be on hand.

There will also be door prizes, gift bags for the first 25 people, light food and drink and entertainment.

Proceeds from the event, including an auction of Turnery's "iconic" red barber chair, will benefit Hope Hospice. The center will also be a collection point for Abuse Counseling and Treatment and the K&B shelter for cats
