Earlier this week, the team traded the rights to goaltender Cody Reichard to the Fort Wayne Komets in exchange for future considerations.
Reichard, 26, originally was acquired by the Everblades from the Stockton Thunder on March 8 of this year. Reichard did not make an appearance for the Everblades because at the time of his acquisition he was recalled to the American Hockey League where he posted a 13-8-5 record with a 2.64 goals-against average and .911 save percentage.
Reichard was a standout goaltender at Miami University (Ohio). He posted a record of 53-24-9, a 2.10 goals-against average, and a .912 save percentage over his four-year collegiate career (2008-12).
Reichard will join former Everblades netminder John Muse, who recently agreed to terms with Fort Wayne earlier this month.
