To the editor:
In a recent interview released to the public, our representative in District 4 states, "They (Cape Coral City Council, excluding himself) have violated the Florida State Constitution on at least one occasion."
As a constituent, I must implore that the council member shed forth his factual material defining the exact details of the incidents and violations that this council has allegedly committed that he is specifically calling out to the public.
Bringing forward the violations will give way to a process in which those responsible for any wrongdoing committed will be dealt with by the law.
Of course as of late accusations have been made the status quo and it is my hope that this is not just another "campaign stunt" coming from our current leader. These are very serious accusations and anyone in elected office should be taking it very seriously.
As Albert Einstein said, "The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who do''t do anything about it." Residents of Cape Coral cannot accept a council that is committing violations nor can we allow leaders to sit back and do nothing about it as well.
