Vote for candidates who will promote quality of life

August 16, 2013
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

To the editor:

Learning from the past has been the battle cry for the last four years, from the incumbents, Sullivan and Leetz. We went down that road with them and what did we get from it? Broken down fire trucks and police cars that was turning into clunkers, bad roads and no growth for this city.

Using the city's Capital Funds to balance their so-called budget just didn't work.

As a citizen, what I wish to hear from these two men is what have been their accomplishments for the last four years, as our council representatives? Our votes are earned and not given freely,so supporting anyone that hasn't taken Cape Coral forward, needs to be replaced in September and November.

Listen to the vision that each candidate has and ask them the hard questions. With the first being, "What can you do to make our QUALITY OF LIFE better?"

After much thought and research on all the candidates, my humble opinion is that Marni Sawicki, for Mayor; Richard Leon, Dist 4; Kevin McGrail, Dist 6; and Jim Burch, Dist 1 will move Cape Coral forward in a progressive manner. Their knowledge, integrity and love for their city makes then stand out.way ahead of the others. Thank you.
