Kenneth Michael Furtado, 53, of Cape Coral, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2013. He was born Jan. 25, 1960 in Providence, R.I.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, sergeant in class and a construction superintendent with the J.L. Wallace Construction. He loved his work; it gave him a great sense of pride and accomplishment. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Victoria W. Furtado; parents, Frank and Hazel Furtado of Bonita Springs; daughter, Jennifer Furtado of Coventry, R.I; step-daughter, Kelci Szala; sister, Helen Furtado; brother, John (Heidi) Furtado; as well as nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
He loved his country deeply and had a great love for our flag.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 9, at Mullins Memorial, 1056 N.E. 7th Terrace, Cape Coral.
