In loving memory of Lorna Marie O'Connor, beloved wife, mother, daughter and teacher.
Mrs. O'Connor, 50, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. Born Oct. 26, 1962, she was a graduate of Scituate High School in Massachusetts, Goucher College in Maryland and Northeastern University in Massachusetts. She taught since 2004 in Lee County, Fl., creating the original genetics course taught at Island Coast High School. In recent years, she spent summers doing research at Oakridge National Laboratory. She won Lee County Science Teacher of the Year for 2013.
She is survived by her husband, Paul O'Connor; sons, Sean and James O'Connor; parents, Raymond and Johanna Fournier; and sister, Jennifer Fournier.

The family will receive friends Wednesday. Aug. 7, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at the Fuller Metz Funeral Home, 3740 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral.
