Jimmy John's is expanding to Cape Coral and searching for sandwich makers and delivery drivers.
Jimmy John's is all about the freshest ingredients and freaky fast delivery. The French and whole-wheat bread are baked in-house daily and every vegetable, cheese and all-natural meat is freshly sliced at the restaurant each and every day at over 1,600 locations across the country.
The local owners and managers of the new Cape Coral location are hosting two job fairs at the Jimmy John's store, located at 822 Del Prado Blvd., S., in Cape Coral.

Jimmy John's is looking for in-shop sandwich makers and delivery driver positions for daytime and evening shifts.

JRL Ventures / Marine Concepts has announced the promotion of Glen Naroth to vice president, engineering.
For the past 15 years, Naroth has been an asset to the company and its customers. The La Taberna restaurant has opened at 532 S.E. 47th Terrace in Cape Coral. The bistro features live entertainment Friday and Saturday with dinner and dancing - Spanish style.

Hertz has established a dedicated email for businesses and individuals to contact it if they want to propose their products or services. The Hertz Corporation announced in May it would relocate its corporate headquarters to Estero.
Friday's announcement about the Hertz procurement contact follows an announcement that a website has been launched to help local businesses with job openings connect with Hertz employees' trailing spouses. Kids eat free at Jason's Deli
With the dwindling days of summer, families are preparing for the beginning of the school year. According to the National Retail Federation's 2013 back-to-school spending survey, the average family (with children in grades K through 12) will spend $634 on clothes, shoes, supplies and electronics.

Southwest Florida International Airport reports June traffic
During June, 473,208 passengers traveled through Southwest Florida International Airport, an increase of 4.2 percent compared to June 2012. Year-to-date, passenger traffic is up 6.5 percent from the same period last year.
The traffic leader in June was Delta with 120,410 passengers traveling to and from Fort Myers. Rounding out the top five airlines were AirTran (86,167), JetBlue (56,797), US Airways (47,585) and Southwest (42,273).
Southwest Florida International Airport had 5,079 aircraft movements (takeoffs and landings), an increase of 3.5 percent compared to June 2012. Page Field saw 5,512 movements, a 9.8 percent decrease from June 2012. In addition, more than 2.2 million pounds of air freight moved through Southwest Florida International Airport in June 2013, a decrease of 17.3 percent compared to June 2012.
