Miguel Gonzalez Jr., 20, of Cape Coral died Friday, July 26, 2013, in the Lee Memorial Hospital, Fort Myers, from injuries of an accident the evening before. He was born Sept. 3, 1992, in Miami Beach, a son of Idarmys I. Hernandez and Miguel Gonzalez.
A resident of Cape Coral since 2005, he attended the Mariner Middle School and graduated from Cape Coral High School with a scholarship. After high school he attended Edison State College and was presently employed as a sushi chef at Zushi Zushi Bar and Restaurant, Fort Myers Beach.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Idarmys I Hernandez and Jorge L. Gonzalez of Cape Coral; his father, Miguel Gonzalez of Miami; his brother, Angel Gonzalez; his maternal grandparents, Jose E. and Maria Hernandez; his paternal grandparents, Vicente and Migdalia Gonzalez; his aunts and uncles, Jose A. (Olga L.) Hernandez, Jorge E. and Olga Hernandez, Richard and Idania Martinez; and his beloved uncle, Vicente Gonzalez, Jr. He is also survived by many cousins and other family members.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, July 31, at 11 a.m., in the Cape Christian Fellowship, 2110 Chiquita Blvd., S., Cape Coral. The family will receive friends at the church after 9:30 a.m.. Burial will follow the service in the Coral Ridge Cemetery.
