Stevens Construction adds

Swartz as project manager

Stevens Construction has hired Trent Swartz as project manager, announced Mark Stevens, company president.

Prior to joining Stevens Construction, Swartz worked with a large construction management firm in Gainesville where he completed more than $43 million in commercial construction including multiple projects for Shands Lakeshore Regional Medical Center in Lake City, Fla.

A LEED accredited professional and licensed general contractor, Swartz earned his bachelor's degree in building construction from the University of Florida.

Swartz will have overall responsibility for the management and execution of healthcare and commercial projects during all phases of design and construction, ensuring projects maintain budget and schedule. Swartz will also work closely with the design team to provide value engineering suggestions, constructability analysis, as well as negotiate and award vendor contracts, conduct owner/subcontractor meetings and monitor the construction team.

With offices in Fort Myers, Tampa and Orlando, Stevens Construction specializes in providing construction management, general contracting and consulting services to clients and design professionals. Other services include site and design team selection, budgeting, project scheduling, permitting, cost and quality control and warranty service.
