Rellon David Fox, 71 of Cape Coral, and formerly of Lafayette, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Hospice of Medina County, in Medina, Ohio, following a short illness. He was born May 3, 1942, in Cookeville, Tenn., to Lloyd and Cora (Massa) Fox. He grew up in Cleveland and graduated from West Tech High School in 1960. On July 15, 1961, he married Janice Katona. They later moved to Lafayette in 1976.
He had worked as a Die Welder for several Cleveland area companies during his career. He retired in 2007 from Weld Mold of Michigan, moving to Florida shortly thereafter. He had been an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 26 years.
He is survived by his children, Suzanne Michelle (William) Bittaker of Seville, Kimberly Diane Bean of Lodi, Cheryl Melissa (Nancy Johnson) Fox of Medina, Michael David (Michelle) Fox of Pensacola, Fla. seven grandchildren, Andrew and Allen Bittaker, Justin Farnsworth, Brandi (Ken) Highman, Jacob Bean, Samuel and Zachary Fox; one great-granddaughter, Cassandra Beck; and two sisters, Sandra Alicia Fox of Ashland and Peggy (Ray) Bowles of Westlake.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janice in 2005; and sister, Donna Gail Pullen.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 22, at 2 p.m., at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, Ohio. Dr. Ross L. Riggs will officiate.
