Arthur "Moon Man" Auge, 84, of Cape Coral passed away Thursday June 13, 2013, at HealthPark Hospital. He was born in Philadelphia in 1929 to his parents, David A. and Frances Auge, now deceased. Formerly of Maple Shade, N.J., he moved to Cape Coral in 1971. He worked as a diesel marine mechanic. He was a long-time member of the Maple Shade, N.J., Masonic Lodge # 281 F&AM, a lifetime member of Trenton, N.J., Shrinners Crescent Temple and a long-time member of the German American Club in Cape Coral.
He served his country honorably during the Korean War with the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his sister, Margaret "Peggy" Poole of Ledgewood, N.J.; three nieces, Marjorie (Bill) Yannetti, Jean (Jim) Yozsa and Dawn (Kevin) Yozsa; two great-nieces; and two great-nephews; one great-great-nephew; and cousins, Bill and Andrea.
A funeralwill be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday June 22, at Fuller Metz Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends for viewing one hour prior to service time from 10 to 11 a.m.
