The Fort Myers Miracle used a sacrifice bunt and took advantage of an error to earn a 6-5 walk off win over the Palm Beach Cardinals Monday night at Hammond Stadium.

With the score tied 5-5, Andy Leer led off the bottom of the ninth with a single off Travis Miller. Levi Michael followed with a walk ahead of Aderling Mejia who laid a sac bunt down the third base line. Danny Stienstra threw wildly past first allowing pinch runner Candido Pimentel to trot home for the win.

The Miracle trailed for most of the game, but Mejia erased a 3-2 deficit when he lined a two-out, two-run double down the left field line in the seventh. Stephen Wickens followed with another RBI double high off the wall in left to make it 5-3.

The Cardinals battled back in the eighth. David Popkins tagged Chad Rodgers with a leadoff single, and after a fly out, Nick Longmire singled to chase Rodgers. Zack Jones entered the game but allowed a single to load the bases and then walked in a run to make it 5-4. An RBI double by Colin Walsh tied the game 5-5.

Wickens went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Mejia was 2-for-4 and also had a double and a pair of RBI.

Catcher Jairo Rodriguez had a three-hit game and Jhon Goncalves had two base hits.

Overall, the Miracle had 11 hits.

The Miracle (44-21) and Cardinals (28-38) meet again at Hammond Stadium Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.
