James Lee Heinemann, 78, of Cape Coral, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013, in Cape Coral. He was born June 1, 1935, in Rossford, Ohio, to Howard and Lillian Heinemann, now deceased.
He was of the Lutheran faith. He started his military career in the Marine Corps and retired from the U.S. Naval Reserves Mobile Inshore Undersea Warfare Unit 201. He also worked at Chrysler Motor Company in Perrysburg as an accountant for auto manufacturing and retired after 33 years. He was an active member of the German American Society in Oregon, Ohio. He also enjoyed snow skiing and travel.
He is survived by his three children, Kimberly (Kevin) Tishler of Toledo, Ohio, Chad (Melissa) Heinemann of Cape Coral and Blake (Dana) Heinemann of Fort Myers, Fla.; and six grandchildren, Cassie, Chase, Cole, Amelia, Fiona and Wyatt.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Margarite Heinemann, in 1996.
A private memorial service will be held.
