Hazel A. Testa, 95, a Cape Coral resident since 1992, formerly of Ocala, Fla., and Staten Island, N.Y., passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013, in Cape Coral. She was born Nov. 5, 1917, in Staten Island to Foster and Ruth Merrell, now deceased.
She was retired from the former Willowbook State School as a supervisor. She was also a dental hygienist in Staten Island and Ocala. Her hobbies were baking and crocheting. She belonged to the Lions Club in Ocala, before moving to the Cape. Hazel retired from her 2nd career at McPherson School in Ocala, Florida at the age of 75.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Carol Perrine and her husband Larry of Cape Coral; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, Lily; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Testa was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas A.Testa, in 1949; three children, Beverly Meehan, Nicholas Testa and Kenneth (Hubba) Testa; four grandchildren, Curtis, Timothy, Carolee and Linda; as well as four siblings, Eleanor Dinterman, Martha Mazik, Sonny Merrell and Evelyn Walter.
A celebration of life will be held at the Cape Coral family home in the near future; date and time to be announced via MullinsMemorial.com.
