With the game tied 3-3 in the sixth, Ramirez doubled to deep left-center with two outs off Miracle starter Matt Tomshaw. Ben McMahan followed with an RBI single to plate Ramirez and give the Manatees the lead for good.

Ramirez added an insurance run with another two-out double in the eighth against Adrian Salcedo that brought home Cameron Garfield.

Reliever Kevin Shackelford worked a perfect eighth and Tommy Toledo worked around two walks and an RBI sac fly to close out the game for the Manatees.

Brevard County jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the third. Tomshaw retired the first six batters he faced, but T.J. Middelstaedt singled to lead off the third. He moved to third on a double by Lance Roenicke and scored on a single from Brandon Macias. Gregory Hopkins then brought Middelstaedt and Macias home with a double to right field.

The Miracle fought back to tie it up. Eddie Rosario and Miguel Sano drove in a pair of runs with back-to-back doubles in the bottom of the third. Stephen Wickens tied the game with a two-out bloop hit that scored Angel Morales in the fourth.

The 3-3 score held until McMahan drove in Ramirez in the sixth.
