Police need help identifying Cape home invasion robbers

At approximately 1:50 p.m. Thursday, two men committed a home invasion robbery at 702 S.W. 11th St.

The resident reported that she opened the front door after someone rang the doorbell. Upon opening the door, she observed a black man dressed in a suit holding a briefcase and armed with a handgun.

The man forced his way into the home and was shouting in English; the residents speak only Spanish and did not understand.

At about 1:50 p.m. Thursday, two men committed a home invasion robbery at 702 S.W. 11th St. The Cape Coral police need help identifying the two men.

The woman fled the home out of the front door and ran to a neighbor. One of the man began to chase the woman.

A male victim was confronted by the other robber, who made motions for him to get on the ground as he pointed the gun at him.

Seconds later, the robber exited the home and went back to a car in the driveway. The man who was chasing the woman stopped and ran back to the car and the men fled the scene.

Nothing was taken from the home and no one was injured.

The residents have a security camera system and the man and their vehicle was captured on video.
