Garrett H. Gardner, 87, of Cape Coral went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 14, 2013. He had lived in Southwest Florida for 13 years after moving from Evansville.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cape Coral, and a 60-year member of the Evansville Masonic Lodge no. 67, Scottish Rite, Hadi Shrine Temple and was an S.A.R. member and direct descendant of Zachary Taylor. He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II, and a retired Whirlpool Corp. executive and business owner.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joyce; a son, Garrett E. Gardner; and a brother, James M. Gardner of Providence, Ky.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, at 10 a.m., at Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, East, Cape Coral.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice in memory of Garrett H. Gardner.
Arrangements have been entrusted to National Cremation & Burial Society North Fort Myers.
