Neil Irvin Sauerwald, 73, of Cape Coral passed away Friday, May 10, 2013. He was born June 24, 1939, in York, Pa., to Robert and Virgie Sauerwald, now deceased.
He was of the Lutheran faith. He enjoyed golfing, the casinos and cars. He graduated from Central High School, York, Pa., and served in the US Navy. He retired from Lockheed Martin Corporation as Site Manager of White Sands, N.M., and was a technical advisor for New Mexico State University, Missile & Projectile Development.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Susan (John) Owens of Talbott, Tenn.; his brother Keith (Joyce) Sauerwald of Cape Coral; and two grandchildren, Johnny and Samantha Owens.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Sauerwald, and his sister, Roberta R. Richardson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, May 17, at the Hope Hospice Chapel, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, E. Cape Coral, with Chaplain Daniel Antle.
