To the editor:
When Hurricane Sandy hit, it devastated New York and New Jersey. When it came to issue aid to them, the Senate voted 63-36, it passed and President Obama signed it into law. Thirty-six lunatic senators told the American people living in those two states,we do not care that you lost your homes, businesses, you have no electricity for weeks, freezing, starving, etc., we think the bill is sending that area too much money.
Thirty-six senators went back to country club lives and warm houses and told those people to go to hell.
I do not know who is worse, those 36 senators or the two lunatics that set bombs off in Boston, killing three people and maiming 100 others.
The ACLU is worried the 19-year-old psycho was not given his Miranda Rights. Give me a break. .Martin, the 8-year-old boy who was killed ,had a right to be alive.
I am sometimes ashamed to be an American when politicians are heartless and turn their backs on there fellow American brothers and sisters.
My faith comes back when the first responders and ordinary citizens come together to help each other in crisis; that's the true American spirit.nationally.
Please make sure those 36 senators do not get re-elected in their states.
Locally, please make sure Kevin "love to raise fees and taxes on the Cape residents" McGrail is booted out of office in a landslide. He is a typical politician - tax and spend. We owe it to our children and grandchildren.
God bless America and God bless Cape Coral.
