Jack Edward Konley, 82, died April 7, 2013.
He was born Sept. 25, 1930 in Teague, Texas to Clarence and Ella Mae (Bragg) Konley. He attended school at St. Benedict's Blue Island, St Christopher's Midlothian and St Rita High School, Chicago.
He resided in South Cook County, Illinois until relocating to Fort Myers, Fla. in 1986. Jack was a longtime crane operator and a 55-plus year member of Local 150 Operating Engineers.
He is survived by three sons; Christopher Edward Konley of Phoenix, AZ, David John Konley of Irving Park, IL and John Patrick Konley of Fort Myers FL; four daughters, Janice Lee of Peoria, AZ, Mary Kay Jockell of Gainesville, GA, Jacqueline Lynn Hensley-Millan of Chandler, AZ and Margaret A Brown of Ahwatukee, AZ; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; two sisters, Clare Mulderink, Alsip, IL and June Felgenhauer, Crown Point, IN; two brothers, William Konley, College Station, TX and George Konley, Fort Wayne, IN. He is preceded in death by sons, Larry and Brian Konley and his wife Patricia Krug.
A memorial service was held at Tropic Terrace, North Fort Myers, on Wednesday, April 10. Graveside services will be on today at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL. Coral Ridge Funeral Home, Cape Coral handling arrangements
