Jane Taylor Lowell, 92, of Cape Coral passed away Thursday, March 28 2013, succumbing to congestive heart failure.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., March 24 1921. After graduating from Sweet Briar College in Virginia, she spent a majority of her married life as a Navy wife and mother at duty stations around the world. As a 35-year resident of Cape Coral, she immersed herself in community activities, especially the life of Faith Presbyterian Church. For the last four years of her life she was a resident of The Manor at Gulf Coast Village. She led by example with active participation in social activities such as crafts, bingo and pokeno. She was truly a friend to all.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Judy) Lowell; her daughters, Joan Crider and Susan Lowell-Noah; nine grandchildren; and six great grand children.
A memorial celebrating Jane's life took place at Faith Presbyterian Church at 1 p.m., Friday, April 5.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the American Red Cross or the Salvation Army.
