Robert E. Grasso, 74, was born May 30, 1938, in Bayonne, N.J., to Dominic and Doris Grasso. Sadly, he unexpectedly passed away April 1, 2013, at his home in Cape Coral.
He was a man of many talents, but above all he was a loving father and devoted husband. After several successful entrepreneurial enterprises, he spent some time serving in the USAF as an aircraft technician and was honorably discharged in 1964. He resettled in Gloucester where he worked in the shipbuilding industry for some time. Some of his many achievements include building his own home in Vermont and his proficiency as a mariner, attaining the qualification of licensed captain. He was an avid fisherman and spent much of his life on the water in pursuing that passion.
Mr. Grasso leaves behind his sister, Ginny; his wife, Jeannette; his three boys, Chris, Rob and Stuart; his stepsons, Matthew, Adam and Jeffrey; his five grandchildren, Danielle, Ryan, Robert, Alexandria and Cora; and his beloved little buddy, Skipper.

He joins his son, Tommy, in the afterlife.
Those that knew him best were blessed by his sense of humor and uncanny ability to tell a story. He will be greatly missed by friends and family alike.
