Raven Jessie Kneally

April 6, 2013
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

On April 3, 2013, we lost our dear daughter and friend, Raven Kneally. She entered this life as Jessie K. Canary and during the course of her life experiences decided to connect to her Irish heritage by taking the Cork, Ireland, family name.

She spent her early childhood in Park City, Utah. At the age of 5, she found herself in Cape Coral where she just loved the water and the warmth of her grandparents, Chet and Kay Canary. She enjoyed school and her friends and had a wonderfully inquisitive mind. She would spend summers with her Aunt and Uncle Mark and Debbie Canary and her two cousins Ryan and Kyle in upstate New York where she had the opportunity to enjoy nature of the northern climates.

She left high school after her junior year to go to USF on a scholarship. She transferred to FGCU where she received her first degree in psychology graduating cum laude. She then studied Chinese medicine for three years until she was needed at home to care for her grandfather in Tennessee. She took the loss of both her grandparents extremely hard. She threw herself into school, this time for accounting, where she graduated summa cum laude. She returned to Cape Coral to work and re-establish friendships.

She leaves behind her mother, Kira Kneally; uncles and aunts, Mark and Debbie Canary, Chester and Linda Canary; her cousins, Ryan, Kyle, Stephen, Dennis, Thomas and Krista; and all of her friends, especially Zech, who had a special place in her heart.

She had a way of calling you on your issues, but yet never judged. We will greatly miss her dark sense of humor and loving giving ways.
