After grabbing a one-run lead early, the Mariner Tritons' offense dried up, allowing North Fort Myers to claim a 5-1 District 5A-13 victory Tuesday night at Mariner.

Leading 3-1 to start the seventh inning, the Red Knights put the game on ice for starting pitcher Alynn Kayatta (9-3), who struck out three batters.

Sophomore Ashlee Hroncich came through with a two-run double in the seventh that widened the gap to the final 5-1 margin. Kaylee Morgan contributed two hits for the Red Knights (12-6, 6-1 district).
