Art Desrosiers, 75, a winter resident of Cape Coral passed away March 14, 2013, at Hope Hospice. He was born May 5, 1937, in Manchester, N.H., to Arthur & Fernande (nee Messier) Desrosiers, now deceased. He was a life-long resident of Manchester. He worked as a master plumber with Elliot Hospital where he retired from in 2001.
He had been wintering in Cape Coral since 2001. He was an avid Patriots fan who enjoyed playing golf and shooting skeet. He was a member of the Cop Shop in Cape Coral and president of Dock Side Condominiums.
His family includes his wife of 31 years, Jeannine of Cape Coral; five children, James (Linda) of Ohio, Cathy (Gus) Lindh, Susan (Ronald) Legendre, Margaret ( Reginald) Drapeau and Joseph (Jennifer), all of North Port, Fla.; four stepchildren, Michael Mercier of Wellington, Fla., Paula (Michael) Lyons of Concord, N.H., Douglas ( Chamaine) Mercier of Mars, Pa., and Roger R. Jr. (Zoriada) Mercier of Dover, N.H.; two sisters, Eileen (Del) Pope of Manteca, Calif., and Carolyn ( Jerry) Folz of Raymore, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 23, at Fuller Metz Funeral Home with Fr. Eddie Gibbons Officiating. Friends are invited to visit www.fullermetz.com to share a memory or condolence with Art's wife and family.
