Belinda Marie Bodkin, 60, a 32-year resident of Cape Coral, formerly of Warren, Ohio, has passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013.

She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend. She lived her life as she stood up to the challenges of breast cancer, courageously.

She retired early after 26 years from a customer service supervisor position with the city of Cape Coral, Utilities Department. Her dream was to retire, but she deeply missed the people.

Words of wisdom: Yearly cancer screenings, stop smoking, enjoy a good drink now and then, vacation often, love your family, miracles do happen, never give up and fight a good fight.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy Bodkin; two children, Kristine (Nedal) Agel of Cape Coral; her son Jason Bodkin of Maui, Hawaii; four grandchildren Sahara, Allison, Jordyn and J.J.; parents, Kenneth and Lois Davis of LaBelle, Fla.; sister, Laurie (John) Markovich of Cortland, Ohio; brother, Kenneth Richard Davis of West Palm Beach, Fla.; many other family members and wonderful friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 2-5 p.m., Saturday, March 23, at The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village at Tarpon Point in the Mariner Room adjoining The Marker 92 Waterfront Bistro, 5951 Silver Kings Blvd, Cape Coral. Room reservations phone: (239) 541-5000 for travelers, Join us to celebrate Belinda, it is not length of life, but depth of life. We live on through memories, family and the life's we touch. Dress comfortable, appetizers will be served, restaurant, bar and entertainment on site. Belinda stories will be welcomed.

She loved the Sound of Jazz and Blues Festival, and this year's event will be held on the property following her celebration for those of you that wish to plan a full evening. www.capeconcerts.com
