Ronald Glenn Hoy, 50, a Cape Coral resident for the last three years, formerly of Denver, Colo., passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, in Cape Coral. He was born March 1, 1963, in Freeport, N.Y., to Warren and Doris Hoy, who survive him and reside in Denver.
He was of the Catholic faith. A loving father and husband, he was self employed in the construction field. He was an avid fishing and boating enthusiast, who was raised on the water as a child. He served a season in Antarctic Research and support program.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kim Flannery-Hoy of Cape Coral; their two daughters, Nicole Catherine Hoy and Taylor Frances Hoy, also of Cape Coral; grandchildren, Jem McRae and Duncan McRae, both of Brooksville, Fla.; a sister, Tammy Hoy-McIntire of Overland Park, Kan.; a brother, Donald Hoy of Denver; and one great-granddaughter, Maddison McRae, also of Brooksville; as well as multiple cousins in Kington, N.Y.

Memorial services will be held at 4:30 p.m., today, March 16, 2013, at Gendron Funeral Home, 4224 Cleveland Ave., #1, Fort Myers, with Pastor Lee Carnahan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested monetary memorial contributions be made to Ronald's daughters' college education fund in care of Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1056 N.E. 7 Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33909.
