Friends of the Cape Library to meet March 23

The Friends of the Cape Coral Library's next meeting will be Saturday March 23 so members can attend the Southwest Florida Reading Festival today, March 16. Author Dorothea Benton Frank will be the guest speaker and her presentation will be at 11 a.m.

In addition, on March 23, Florida Library Association President Dr. Barbara Stites will talk about the association and how the Friends' donations to its Honor Roll make a difference in Tallahassee.

The Friends will also be installing the new board of directors for 2013 through 2015.

Spring Book Sale

The Spring Book Sale is rapidly approaching - the member only sale will begin Thursday, April 18, at 3 p.m. Those interested can become members at the door for $10 a year or $15 for a family. Be there early, the line can be long.

The sale will be open to the general public at 9 a.m., Friday, April 19, and Saturday April 20. The sale closes at 4:30 p.m. Friday and finishes Saturday afternoon at 3.

The Friends are always looking for donations for the sale, and accepts gently used hardcover or paperback books, CDs, DVDs, etc. Small amounts can be dropped off at the circulation desk or leave a message on our Hotline at 349-2572 to arrange a pickup at your home.
