William P. Schuberth

William P. Schuberth, 87, of Cape Coral passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Lee Memorial Hospital. He was born in Germany Dec. 22, 1925, to Herman and Martha Schuberth.

He followed in his family's business as a 12th generation bookbinder. He served with the German Luftwaffe as a fighter pilot during World War II. He moved to America in 1955 and lived in Clifton, N.J., where he owned and operated a bookbinder business for 25 years. He retired to the Bahamas in 1981. Later he moved to Port Charlotte followed by Cape Coral in 2009.

He was preceded in death by his wife Erika in 2007.

Survivors include his son Michael of Hackettstown, N.J.; his daughter, Marina and husband Tom of Cape Coral; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private.
