William David Arsenault, 67, of Sault St. Marie, Mich., and a winter resident of Cape Coral, died unexpectedly in his sleep Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, in Cape Coral. He was born in Ishpeming, Mich., Nov. 26, 1945, to Walter and Lillian Arsenault, now deceased.
He was a graduate of Northern Michigan University and taught in the Sault school system for 27 years. He also coached with the Sault schools for 23 years.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge 552 and Moose Lodge 717, both in Sault Ste. Marie. He enjoyed watching sports and loved spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed and remembered by many as "Spanky" and/ or "Coach."

Hel is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sue Arsenault; two children, Stephanie (John) Burke and Daniel (Nicole) Arsenault; four grandchildren, Allyson and John Burke and Breeana and Andie Arsenault; as well as one sister, Marilyn (Rudy) Johnson.
He was preceded in death by two siblings, Robert Arsenault and Evelyn Toy.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 9, at the C.S. Mulder Funeral Home, 4951 S M 129 Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Bill's wishes were that memorials be made to the
Sault Area High School Athletic Department, 904 Marquette Ave., Sault Ste. Marie, MI, 49783.
