The Island Coast Gators hit two historic marks Monday night by handing LaBelle a 68-60 defeat.

Angel Inchausti scored 16 points, one of four double-figure performances for the Gators, to reach exactly 1,000 career points. He's the first in Island Coast history to reach that plateau.

The win is the Gators' 13th of the season, another first in school history.

The Gators broke in front early, but let a 10-point halftime lead evaporate in the third quarter before rebounding to achieve the two historic marks.

"After we were down by one in the third quarter we kind of stretched the lead again and survived their run," said Gators coach Greg Coleman.

Kaleb Darrett led the Gators with a game-high 21 points to go with four steals. Jordan Lugo added 13 points and eight rebounds, and Morgan Foreman contributed 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

The Gators (13-10) host East Lee County Tuesday night.
