Harry “Buster” Roland Tanner

Harry "Buster" Roland Tanner, 66, a North Fort Myers resident for the last 13 years, formerly of Springfield, Tenn., died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, in Cape Coral. He was born Jan. 16, 1946, in Springfield, to Ervin and Ida Mae Tanner, now deceased.

He was of the Baptist faith. He lived life to the fullest and had no regrets when it came to his family and friends. He will be missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 22 years, Betty Gean Smith Tanner of North Fort Myers; three sons, David (Marisa) Tanner of Waynesboro, Va., Brian Tanner of Springfield, Tenn., and Frank Tanner of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a sister, Sue Ann Stagner also of Springfield; as well as three grandchildren, Lexis Tanner, Brashanz Tanner and Kingsley Tanner.

Memorial services will be held at a later date to be announced.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 12502 USF Pine Drive, Tampa, FL 33612.
