Florida Everblades forward A.J. Jenks was recalled by the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League on Thursday.
Jenks heads to Charlotte having recorded three points (1g, 2a) in 14 games with the Everblades this season. In seven games with Charlotte this season, Jenks logged just one assist.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound winger totaled nine points (4g, 5a) in 52 appearances last season split between Charlotte and the San Antonio Rampage. In addition, Jenks posted six points (3g, 3a) in 13 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL) last year.
The native of Michigan was a fourth-round selection of the Florida Panthers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
The Everblades host the Toledo Walleye for the final time this season at 7 p.m. Saturday at Germain Arena.
