Marie L. S. Gulluscio, 76, of Cape Coral passed away Dec. 24, 2012, at her residence under the loving care of her family and Hope Hospice. She was born on April 19, 1936, in Westerly, R.I., one of three children of Salvatore and Philomena (Falco) Savona.
"Dolly" to her friends, she lived in Cape Coral for over 20 years. A graduate of Stonington High School in Pawcatuck, Conn., she led an active life in her adult years in Westerly, R.I., where she raised her family and was known for her fun loving, lively spirit and overly ambitious work ethic. She was a hair stylist, also employed at Frank O'Lean Center working with mentally challenged adults. Her passions were cooking and being a loving mother.
The wife of Joseph Anthony Gulluscio, who died in 2003, she is survived by her children, Joseph A. Gulluscio Jr. (Lindsey) of Lehigh Acres and Dawn M. Gulluscio-Spencer (Peter Dixon) of Cape Coral; her brothers, Frank (Gladys) Savona of Groton, Conn., and Thomas (Patricia) Savona of Pawcatuck, Conn.; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 4, at 10 a.m., in the Chapel of St. Andrew Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd., S., Cape Coral.
