Everett Peter Bunck, 93, entered eternal life Dec. 18, 2012, at HealthPark Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Racine, Wis., April 14, 1919, the son of Martin and Rigmore Bunck, and is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy; sons, Ted and Tim; daughters, Elizabeth and Margaret; granddaughter, Manda; grandson, David; and two great grandchildren.
After graduating from Carthage College, Carthage, Ill., and Northwestern Lutheran Theological Seminary in Minneapolis, Miin., he was ordained by the Lutheran Church in America Dec. 16, 1945. On June 15, 1945, he and Dorothy Kreppert were married in Rockford, Ill.
Pastor Bunck served the Lutheran Church in Frederiksted, St. Croix, Virgin Islands, until 1948 when he became pastor of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Jackson, Mich.
In 1961, Pastor Bunck was sent to Cape Coral and established Christ Lutheran Church in the Shopping Plaza. The church's first building was built in 1964 at Del Prado Boulevard and Cornwallis Parkway. In 1977, the current larger building was built.
A Celebration of Life be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 30, at Christ Lutheran Church, 2911 Del Prado Blvd., S, Cape Coral. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Pastor Bunck can be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
