The men and women of the Transportation Security Administration work every day to ensure the safety of air travel.
They are not just dedicated to public security, they're deeply about the communities where they live.
This past summer, in keeping with an annual tradition, local TSA employees collected 536 pounds of food for the Harry Chapin Food Bank. This spirit of giving continues throughout the year.
Just in time for the holidays, Marines from the Cape Coral Recruiting Center picked up hundreds of brand new toys purchased by TSA employees for the Toys for Tots Program.
Thanks to the generosity of the hard-working men and women of TSA, needy children in our area will wake up to gifts on Christmas day. So, the next time you go through the screening checkpoints at Southwest Florida's airports, remember that Transportation Security Officers serve our communities, both on and off the job, officials there asked.
