To the editor:
Please help me understand why, at my local Senior Center, Cape Coral residents must be turned away for registering for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners because other areas (North. Fort Myers), (Punta Gorda, etc.) have registered very early pushing Cape residents out. Surely there are other community places closer to their homes to have a dinner for those in need.
Give Cape residents "first choice"!
A solution may be that Senior Centers prepare a waiting list for non-Cape residents. A volunteer could screen.
Am I wrong in my thinking?
Readers, what is your opinion!
